It begins in Byron Bay

Springtime by the seaside…
It begins in byron bay…

And so Spring has almost sprung which means the enslaught of gigs, festivals and good times begin! I’m thrilled to be kicking it off with a splendid afternoon by the seaside in Byron Bay supporting (in my opinion) Brisbane’s finest and freshest reggae band, Kingfisha on Sunday September 5. All the details in the column to the right…

But before that… a brand new residency is standing up to the grim statistics and offering up Sunday afternoon jazz at The Queens Arms Hotel in Fortitude Valley.

The Jazz Cellar Sessions runs from 3-6pm every Sunday and this week, myself and the very talented Lachlan Mitchell & Josef Muller (from Laneous & the Family-Yah) are forming a trio to invent new tunes and revamp jazz standards on the fly. Let us be the sonic backdrop to your Sunday afternoon piss-up and help build an emerging residency into a new Brisbane hot spot. Plus, this gig is a total one-off and not to be missed…!!

Furthermore, catch me with the band at the Caloundra Music Festival on October 8 alongside a massive lineup including Powderfinger, JET, Lior, Paul Kelly, Ash Grunwald, Katie Noonan, Grassroots Street Orchestra + a million more…

IN OTHER NEWS…

I will be playing music in nearly every major Australian city in the country (except Perth) throughout September & October as a singer with Laneous & the Family-Yah. Throughout September catch us touring with Regurgitator in all major cities including Adelaide, Canberra and Hobart, and then again in October launching our second album, ‘Found Things.’
Exact October dates to be announced very soon… come and say hello…!!

Working with my long-time friend and fellow producer Timeshare on these new tunes… I can’t wait to share them with you…

peace, love & 20 cent minutes.

Georgia
